The secret here is: less is more! Because these extensions do not sit permanently on your scalp to absorb natural oils, they do not need to be washed frequently. Washing them every 15-20 wears, or only when you notice heavy product buildup (like hairspray), is perfectly sufficient. When you do wash them, ALWAYS use sulfate-free products.

Please don't! Treat your Clip-ins and Halo like your favorite designer bra—gorgeous for the day, but you definitely want to take them off before bed! ALWAYS remove them before sleeping, showering, swimming, or intense workouts. Sleeping in them can cause unnecessary tension on your natural roots and lead to severe matting. Give your scalp a rest, unclip them, and they’ll be ready to make you look fabulous again tomorrow.

After removing them, gently brush them from the bottom up to remove any tangles. You can apply a tiny drop of hair oil to the ends to lock in moisture. Store them flat in a dry place, or hang them in a dedicated extension carrier bag to keep the shape perfect.

If you are taking your extensions on a sunny vacation, beware: Chemical sunscreens containing Avobenzone will permanently turn light extensions peach or pink! Always opt for 100% Mineral Sunscreens (Zinc Oxide/Titanium Dioxide) to keep your extensions looking flawless.
